The Portland "Wall of Moms" protest group has been accused of
"anti-Blackness" by a local racial-justice organization.
Don't Shoot Portland said Wall of Moms members-- who have formed human chains
to protect protesters in the city-- have not done their job to shield black
women, leaving them vulnerable.
Oh, screw the Yahoo News reprint, letting you read a few paragraphs
before having to click for the story to be continued.
Here's where it came from:
This isn't news at all, but everything we've heard about Black Lives
Matters local leadership in every city they're in. They are known to go
into coalitions in bad faith. They don't acknowledge leadership of
others. They demand to be asked to give approval of decisions made by an
individual group in the coaltion. The BLM leader freaked out when the
Moms group decided to organize her group as a continuing entity? He
freaked out because the other group starting filing its paperwork?
I have no idea with BLM has some sort of formal charter, but somehow,
only the most petty and venal among them are the ones in local
You know what would be a news story? "BLM local leadership plays nice
with its coaltion partners, doesn't betray any of them".
Time and time again they've proven themselves not to be serious people.
Anyone with a good idea about promoting justice, peace, and fairness
should just do his or her own thing and ignore BLM. It makes no
difference if the group attempts to join a coaltion organized by BLM.
Either way it will get criticized.
Ignore BLM's bad reputation to the detriment of your group.
