Suni Reid, in the Hamilton company between 2017 and 1019, in productions
in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, is a transgender nonbinary
performer whose request for a gender-neutral dressing room at Pantages
Theater was not accomodated.

Reid was also subject to "constant misgendering by co-workers, at times
in a pointedly hostile or callous manner".

During the pandemic shutdown, Reid received living assitance from the
producers. Reid had begun rehearsals in Los Angeles but there wasn't a
performance. In May 2021, Reid was offered a new contract but had told
the agent about the dressing room request. Producers then objected to
social media posts Reid had made complaining about the show's racial
equity issues.

Months later, producers agreed to the dressing room demand but were told
by Reid's lawyers of legal claims for discrimination. Producers then
withdrew the offer to renew the contract.

In the E.E.O.C. filing, the actor, who is nonbinary, describes being
retaliated against after requesting a gender-neutral dressing room,
among other claims. The show denies the allegations.

They are fucked. Once the EEOC gets into it, the innocent parties are
screwed, blued, and tattooed.

I had a favorite business professor at ASU who was partners in a small
trucking concern. One of their drivers was caught speeding on the job and
the cops ran him and saw he’d already had his license pulled for previous
speeding violations which he hadn’t reported to his bosses as he’s legally
required to. So they took him off of driving and gave him a place in the
warehouse or something. He immediately filed with the EEOC and told them
it was race discrimination because he was Mexican. They pointed out that
all their drivers were Mexican and what they did was required by law. The
EEOC didn’t care. They had to put on somebody full-time just to deal with
the paperwork. It has been going on for years the last I heard.

“The last thing I want to do is hurt you, but it’s still on my list.”

Aren't all three of those protected groups?
