Alexander Polinksy Alleges Scott Baio Exposed Himself On Set, Sexually
Harassed Him With Homophobic Slurs
By Elizabeth Wagmeister
Alexander Polinsky is claiming years of "sexual themed hazing" by
Scott Baio on the set of their '80s sitcom Charles In Charge with
his accusations including Baio allegedly exposing himself and pulling
down Polinsky's pants when he was a minor.
Polinsky, who was 11 years old at the time the alleged child abuse
began, says his harassment was homophobic in nature.
Dear Mr. Polinsky,
If an adult pulls down a child's pants, that might make him a pervert,
but not a homophobe. If an adult exposes himself, that makes him an
exhibitionist and not a homophobe.
May I ask why, if something terrible happened to you on the set, you
never told the director, the producer, or your own parents? Why is the
lesson in bravery from these alleged events always, Wait 30 years, tell
a reporter or hold a press conference, and wait for people to say how
very very brave you are?
