Check out this video of two bull moose fighting in a back yard:

https://www.cp24.com/video?clipId=2810150

There isn't one word of information about when and where this happened
and what happened to the moose afterwards; they just uploaded the video
without bothering to give even one word of context.

Here's the original Youtube post from the woman with plenty of
comments.

As for the moose, I'm sure the winner went on to find his soul mate
for the next month or two (as that seems to be the normal mating
period) while the loser went off to hopefully find another breeding
ground.

You've got good research skills :-) The article didn't give any
attribution for the video so I had no idea where it originated. (I'm
surprised they can get away with that; it feels like it violates her -
or YouTube's - copyright to just take it without attribution.)

Given that it was on a Canadian news site, I assumed it took place in
Canada and was curious to know where. You only find it happened in
Alaska over at YouTube.

The video mentioned significant quantities of blood. I wonder if both
of them survived the encounter?

The blood likely came from their antlers, which are covered in a thin
layer of skin and fur. Smashing the antlers together strips that off and
can be bloody but it doesn't hurt the moose at all.

I had no idea you were knowledgeable about moose antlers! ;-)

Here's hoping both moose were relatively unscathed - and that they stay
out of people's yards in future. (Or maybe we need to stay out of THEIR
yards....)

I knew that too, but only because I had seen some videos of moose
fighting just a few days ago (before this video was posted.) Which had
included a video of one of the big male moose losing his furry
covering which looked like a mess with bits hanging from the antlers.

OH MY GOSH!
OPERATOR: State Farm Insurance, how can I help you?

MOM: You're never going to believe this...

At least she has the video to back up her story.

Not that that will matter to the crooks at State Farm.

They'd probably insist that the video is a fake....

You actually made me laugh out loud with that remark and that doesn't
happen too often. :-)

You've made one slight mistake - or maybe it was a deliberate attempt
to make your remark funnier - in I think by using Tim Hutton's name. ;-)

Canada's best known takeout/eat-in doughnut franchise is called Tim
HORTON'S and is named after a hockey player who started the franchise
(or maybe he financed it out of his hockey earnings). Tim Hutton is an
actor who has been around for a long time, starring in the original
Leverage among many other credits, but has nothing to do with doughnuts
as far as I know.

I am so bad with names sometimes! I wondered what the story behind the
franchise was.

No worries!

There's a LOT of information about the franchise in this article if you
want more than the bare bones I've given:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Hortons

And if you're interested in the man, there's a short article on him too:

Jim Hutton's son by his first wife Maryline Poole, first became famous
playing Conrad in Ordinary People (1980), a movie known for making Mary
Tyler Moore the villain. Never founded a restaurant chain, heh.
