“It wasn’t until 2015 that Chelsea and Marc became aware of the horrific allegations against Ghislaine Maxwell and hope that all the victims find justice,” said Chelsea Clinton’s chief of staff, Bari Lurie. “Chelsea and Marc were friendly with her because of her relationship with a dear friend of theirs. When that relationship ended, Chelsea and Marc’s friendship with her ended as well.”

For several years, Maxwell was romantically linked with Ted Waitt, the billionaire founder of Gateway computers.

A person close to Chelsea Clinton described Waitt as a “very close family friend” of Chelsea and Mezvinsky, and said the couple met Maxwell through him in 2011. The person said Chelsea Clinton and her husband ended their friendship with Maxwell when she and Waitt broke up in early 2011, and disputed that Maxwell and Chelsea Clinton were ever “close.”

Two people familiar with the relationship between Maxwell and the Clintons said Maxwell, Chelsea Clinton and Mezvinsky flew together on a private plane to rendezvous with Waitt for a trip on Waitt’s yacht. One of those people said the trip took place in 2009.

Waitt, whose philanthropic endeavors focus on the world’s oceans, has given somewhere between $10 million and $25 million to the Clinton Foundation. Waitt’s philanthropic foundation did not respond to a request for comment.

One person familiar with the Maxwell-Clinton relationship said that while Maxwell “was incredibly close” to Chelsea, “She had her own relationship with Bill Clinton and was very close to him.”

In 2010, Maxwell attended Chelsea Clinton’s wedding, apparently as Waitt’s date. In 2012, Maxwell launched her own Ocean-focused charity, the TerraMar Project. A year later, the Clinton Global Initiative trumpeted a TerraMar initiative among the “commitments to action” announced at its annual meeting. No money changed hands.

The initiative was the Sustainable Oceans Alliance, which sought to ensure the United Nations included oceans in its Sustainable Development Goals.

A 2013 press release on the website for TerraMar —which announced it was shuttering in the days after Epstein’s arrest — describes the alliance as a four-way partnership between TerraMar; another nonprofit called the Global Partnerships Forum; the late Stuart Beck, who served as “ambassador on oceans and seas” from the Pacific island nation of Palau; and a Trump friend, Paolo Zampolli, an Italian-born businessman who has served in diplomatic posts for Caribbean nations.

Before his diplomatic career, Zampolli co-founded a model management company and served as the Trump Organization’s director of international development. He has long been credited with introducing Trump to his third wife, Melania, though the New York Times reported this month that Epstein has also claimed credit for the introduction.

Zampolli said he was unaware of Maxwell’s connection to the Sustainable Oceans Initiative but that he does recall that Beck — who served on TerraMarr’s board in 2013 — brought Maxwell to the United Nations twice to discuss her oceans advocacy.

TerraMar sought to build social networks around ocean protection, issuing free “Ocean Passports” to anyone who pledged to support its goals, making them an “ocean citizen.”

“This lady,” Zampolli recalled, “had some very interesting ideas.”

There are 2000 Epstein related documents Maxwell has petitioned the courts, through her attorney, to remain sealed. No one (except maybe her attorney) knows where Maxwell is located, she can not be found.

We know where Maxwell's father is located, but he won't help.

Feds probe socialite’s mysterious ocean ‘charity’ over links to Jeffrey Epstein
By Isabel Vincent July 27, 2019
https://nypost.com/2019/07/27/feds-probe-socialites-mysterious-ocean-charity-over-links-to-jeffrey-epstein/

A mysterious do-nothing charity founded by Jeffrey Epstein’s socialite gal pal is being investigated by the FBI for possible links to the convicted pedophile, The Post has learned.

The TerraMar Project was incorporated in London and Delaware in 2012, purportedly to raise awareness of environmental and other issues facing the oceans, and exclusively funded by hundreds of thousands in loans by heiress Ghislaine Maxwell, public filings show.

Maxwell, 57, the daughter of the late British media mogul Robert Maxwell, has been accused by three women of procuring girls to work as sex slaves for convicted pedophile Epstein, according to court filings. Two of the women said both Maxwell and Epstein sexually assaulted them. She has not been charged with a crime.

Maxwell was listed as president of TerraMar, and her Upper East Side home was its official office. She pumped $283,429 into it between 2012 and 2017. In that time, the so-called charity gave out a total of $874 in grants.

Between 2002 and 2005, Epstein used his private jets — dubbed the “Lolita Express” — to shuttle girls for sex between his estates in New York, Palm Beach, Fla., and the Virgin Islands, according to prosecutors.

One girl, aged 19 at the time — whose name appears on the manifests of two Epstein flights in February 2005 from JFK Airport to Columbus, Ohio, and Palm Beach — became a member of the founding board of directors of the Maxwell charity seven years later.

She also lived in a three-bedroom, $430,000 home in Teaneck, NJ, that is linked in public documents to Maxwell, although neighbors told The Post they never saw Maxwell at the property.

The Post is withholding her name. It is not known what she was doing on those Epstein flights. She did not return calls for comment.

An FBI source would not say if the charity probe is focused on the question of whether it served as a slush fund to pay hush money to Epstein’s young victims.

Members of TerraMar’s blue-ribbon board included Westchester businessman and UN official Amir Dossal, “Dead Poets Society” producer Steven Haft, and Calvo-Platero, Maxwell’s best friend from Oxford.

Katie Vaughan-Edwards and Ariadne Calvo-Platero, Maxwell’s socialite friends from London, were also listed in the original incorporation documents.

Multiple calls and e-mails to the charity’s past and current board members were not returned.

Larry Coben, a NYC-based founding director, told The Post he couldn’t remember being connected to the charity and hung up the phone.

Another model claims Epstein posed as Victoria’s Secret scout to grope her
Jeffrey Pagliuca, a Colorado-based criminal defense lawyer who is representing Maxwell, did not return The Post’s calls and e-mails.

After The Post began making inquiries this month, the charity blocked its public website and made it password-accessible. Last week, the home page included this message: “The TerraMar Project is sad to announce that it will cease operations.” No reason was given.

The nonprofit’s latest federal tax filings show only $583 in total contributions in 2017 and expenses of $18,462. They also show the charity owes Maxwell $549,093 in loan repayments.

Hours after the news broke of financer and accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein's death, one of his associates became a trending topic on Twitter.

British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of media mogul Robert Maxwell, reportedly collaborated with Epstein in some of his accused crimes.

"She's still here. Ghislaine Maxwell knows everything Epstein," actress Mia Farrow tweeted on Saturday.

Epstein is accused of sexually exploiting and trafficking many underage girls, including some from abroad. He reportedly used his upscale Manhattan townhouse, Palm Beach mansion, New Mexico compound and private island in the Caribbean to facilitate his sex trafficking enterprise.

Information on Maxwell's alleged role in Epstein's scheme was revealed on Friday, when a federal judge unsealed thousands of pages of court documents related to various legal actions taken against Epstein and his alleged accomplices over the years. The documents included sworn testimony from some of Epstein's accusers and revealed new allegations against people previously unentangled by Epstein's vast network of enablers, including Maxwell.

According to the documents, Maxwell was apparently Epstein's right-hand woman, managing the six homes out of which he operated, as well as a private plane that shuttled women between the residences.

Among the court records unsealed were depositions and filings from a 2015 defamation suit brought against Maxwell by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, an alleged victim of Epstein. Although Giuffre and Maxwell settled in 2017, the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ordered the unsealing last month, according to The Cut.

On social media Saturday, snippets of the documents were posted and reposted, along with assertions about how authorities should proceed with the case given Maxwell's apparent involvement.

"Gruesome Jeffrey Epstein docs unsealed this a.m. Ghislaine Maxwell punished underage girls who didn't make Epstein orgasm, etc.," wrote journalist Vanessa Grigoriadis.

Grigoriadis' post was referencing a note in the Giuffre v. Maxwell case which stated another woman, Johanna Sjorberg, testified that Maxwell "recruited her under the guise of a legitimate assistant position, but asked her to perform sexual massages for Epstein, and punished her when she didn't cause Epstein to orgasm."

Legal analyst Maya Wiley tweeted: "I have been assuming that #ghislanemaxwell is under investigation for #sextrafficking. Very important for justice AND to continue to understand what powerful men participated.

Maxwell hasn't made a public statement since Epstein's arrest on July 6.
