After a very long day of grading and giving exams, I just wanted to get
home to chill out. So I watched:

soaps: Y&R - Thur's and Fri's ep's. Not much happened here, though I did
enjoy Filis[sic!] giving Billy a hard time about being with Sally (what
does Filis[sic!] have against Sally?!). Cricket (who's leaving town
anyway!) becomes convinced that there's more to Filis being run off the
road than there appears. I also enjoyed the look on the Mustache's face
when Jack revealed he had reassembled the pieces of Glaucade(sp?) after
Victor had sold them off - I don't think ol' Vic was expecting that!...
Claire reveals to Summer that she won't be the nanny anymore as she's
going to work for Nikki, and then Summer passive-aggressively reveals it
to Kyle before Claire can! Summer does not like this relationship!! Aunt
Jordan is outraged - I wasn't sure if it was because Claire was with
Kyle, or because Claire is going to work with Nikki...

Lioness (Pee+) - Last 4 episodes of season #1. This ended about how I
expected it to, right down to the revealed lesbian angle.
This was a well-made and entertaining military/spy thriller, but it
definitely felt like it contained all the usual Taylor Sheridan "tropes".
I did like how all the "pol" characters (e.g. Morgan Freeman) got
cold feet when it looked like Joe's team was actually going to
successfully kill the target - as Joe's boss's boss pointed out, if they
didn't want they guy dead, he shouldn't have been on the target list!!
I also liked how Cruz dispatched the target (and the groom) with
ruthless efficiency, but didn't like how she whined and blubbered about
it the whole time, esp. afterwards - Joe should have had Cruz busted
down to buck private after that!
BTR claims season #2 is better than season #1, so I am looking
forward to tacking that next.

I looked around after "Lioness", and it looks like about a half-a-dozen
movies (at least!) have come to streaming over the last couple of weeks
that I now have to find the time to watch!

I binged through the crime anthology series, "Accused."

"Margot's Story" - Season 2, episode 5 - Debra Winger plays a woman
charged with partnering with a con artist to defraud her friends.

"Val's Story" - Season 2, episode 6 - Cobie Smulders plays a woman
charged with murdering her abusive ex husband.

"Eugene's Story" - Season 2, episode 7 - Ken Jeong and Jamie Chung star
in this one. The plot was too convoluted to try and summarize, and I
don't think they even bothered to show the crime. But basically Jeong
is married to Chung but she turns out to have a shady past which Jeong
gets caught up in, when Chung's ex gets out of prison and starts
threatening them.

"Megan's Story" - Season 2, episode 8, the season finale. Normally this
series is pretty straight forward in their episodes, but this one was a
straight up sci-fi episode. I wonder if maybe they are testing the
waters to maybe go in a new direction if the show comes back for a third
season. Anyway, this episode starred Sonequa Martin-Green as a business
woman who buys her husband (Mike Colter) a sex robot (Kiara Barnes) to
avert his attentions from her. At first Colter wants nothing to do with
the fembot, but he soon warms to it and starts to prefer the robot over
his own wife. The wife does not take this well...

The two actresses were hot. I'd like to see the raw footage from the sex
scene, given how they had to shoot them so arms covered boobs.

I was disappointed in the two set-piece action sequences. Taking that
van with an EMP on American soil was ridiculously over the top. And then
our hero exited the scene -- after killing her target and the fiance --
by running real fast. The men shooting real bullets at her from
automatic rifles didn't kill her.

The place was filled with security. At the moment the fiance discovered
she was a marine, why the hell didn't he put together a squad to capture
her? Instead he just wants to yell at her? That was massively stupid.

There wasn't much plotting; the story moved along via coincidence.

Still, it was largely entertaining and fun.

How do I add names to this list?

It's on Showtime right now. I'll have to find earlier episodes On
Demand. Don't want to subscribe to streaming crap again.

What did you watch?
Hey, thanks for asking!

BLUE BLOODS live or at least most of it except for where they gave me food
I’m allergic to and there was anaphylactic shock and problems like that
before there was Benadryl

Then, in the morning, I woke up with pneumonia

Magnum makes a deal with the shady governor. He wouldn’t have made 14 years
ago. Henry tells him it’s the right thing to do because it helps thousands
of cops and all it does is cover up the fact that the governors wife is a
drunk. Nonetheless, I think magnum will see this is the end of his time
coming.

Nobody else’s storylines really advanced towards any kind of conclusion.

Next week the mayor gets shot. I am not really sure why that matters to
anybody for a finale.

After the show, I checked easy news and there were six or eight torrents of
this episode available but still none of previous ones from this season.
