The Ten Worst Actors Ever On TV

Kaley Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco, who has played the character Penny on "The Big Bang Theory" for
the last seven seasons, is an actress who could use a few more acting classes.
Those who watch the show might agree that her character brings sex appeal to
the show, but not much else.
One might wonder why the creators of the show don't just replace her with
another pretty face who can indeed act.

Jared Gilmore
Jared Gilmore plays Henry on the popular fairy-tales turned into real life
characters show "Once Upon a Time," but the early seasons focused way too much
on Henry's annoying perspective and exposition-heavy dialogue. Thankfully, as
the show progresses, he becomes much less of the story's focus.

Laura Prepon
Sure, Laura Prepon is cute, tall, and redheaded. She was Eric Forman's love
interest on "That '70s Show" for several seasons, but nearly every scene that
she was in felt forced and had all of the humor sucked out of it. It isn't
clear why she was unable to play Donna well, because her role on "Orange Is
the New Black" showed much better acting.
Maybe she took some acting lessons between the two series.

Adrian Grenier
Adrian Grenier, whom you might remember as the lead on "Entourage," had the
weakest acting skills of anyone else on the show. That might include the
extras as well as the supporting cast. Grenier has had exactly four acting
gigs in the years since "Entourage" ended, and one of them was an "Entourage"
movie.

Cathy Cahlin Ryan
"The Shield" was one of the best television series of the past couple of
decades, and Michael Chiklis was one of the major reasons why. Nevertheless,
Cathy Cahlin Ryan, who played Corrine Mackey on the series, was the opposite
end of the spectrum, making a good series worse for her part in it.However,
she wasn't the only bad actor on the show; Chiklis' real-life wife, Autumn,
also had some problems with believability.

Nolan Gould
Okay, so Nolan Gould, who plays Luke Dunphy on "Modern Family," is just a kid.
You can't blame him for his bad acting, but you can blame the casting director
for "Modern Family. " Gould's lines are stiff and wooden, and if you replaced
him with that robot that beat everyone on "Jeopardy," you might not be able to
tell the difference.

Jonathan Ahdout
When it came time for season 4 of "24" and the character of Behrooz Araz, the
casting director failed his or her job miserably. Every line that Jonathan
Ahdout delivered was toneless. It makes you wonder if he had something on the
producers of "24" to keep him from losing his job.
Thankfully, his character was here and gone in season 4.

Chandler Riggs
"The Walking Dead" is one of the best shows on television; however, Chandler
Riggs, who plays Carl Grimes, is not living up to his potential. Carl has some
great lines on the show and some great moments with Rick, but Riggs just isn't
able to bring the emotion that would make his character endearing and likable.

Gillian Anderson
Gillian Anderson would probably be best at the end of this list, were it in
any particular order. Agent Dana Scully wasn't that unbelievable on "The X-
Files," but when it came to showing real emotion, when tension was at its
highest, Gillian simply didn't bring it. Part of this might have been the
squabbles that insiders say existed between her and Duchovny and the lack of
chemistry in later seasons.

Jerry Seinfeld
Jerry Seinfeld is funny, and his self-titled television show was hilarious,
but among the excellent level of acting on that show, Jerry was the only one
who you could tell was acting.

Perhaps an acting coach can explain to me what she's doing wrong. I know
she's been criticized for years, but her acting has never bothered me.
In fact, in her two-character scenes with Jim Parsons, she's an
excellent straight man.

Because he's not an actor ... he's just a robotic "glasses-on,

I remember she had a drug problem but can't recall if she blamed
Horatio's ex or if that was the ROSWELL refugee. In any case she was
awful on THE 4400 and just as bad years later on CSI MIAMI. She's
really the only person that I thought of as truly a bad actor on CSI
MIAMI. Sure they had a lot of people that weren't good but none that
made me think why is this person even acting and certainly none that
had a long term role on the show. Yes, that even goes for boobyvista.

Remember the time he left the show "for greener pastures" and then a few
months later was back?

How much of the regular cast has been seen since the show terminated?

Kandhi Alexander doesn't count, she left before the show sank.

That's her.
David Caruso beats her in that respect. He's the one that ruined that

No... David Caruso has his issues but Megalyn far succeeds Caruso in
the art of bad acting.
B-b-b-but HE was in EVERY episode. :(

She should open a school to teach people how to
be a bad actor. She's managed it in multiple roles.
Well, I'll have to take your word for it, because I don't remember
anything about her, except I do remember a staff member who stole drugs
and blamed Horatio's ex- or whoever. If I see that rerun again, I'll
pay closer attention. :)
Hell Delco made boobyvista look talented.
Remember the time he left the show "for greener pastures" and then a few
months later was back?
Yep. And then played 'brain damaged Delco' who was indistinguishable
from 'regular Delco'
Post by Michael Black
How much of the regular cast has been seen since the show terminated?
Kandhi Alexander doesn't count, she left before the show sank.
Michael
Good question. In the 3 years since it went off the air ...

Kelly Lee Ripa's bestest friend BoobyVista has done 3 TV movies I've
never heard of, a guest shot on Criminal Minds (really!??!) and a pilot
as 'Bliss' in 'Swallow Your Bliss' and the jokes just write themselves.

Emily Proctor did two episodes of WHITE COLLAR ... and that's it.

Delko the Retard has been busy, with 9 credits, 3 of them recurring
roles in series I've never watched.

Rex Linn (Frank Tripp) has been busy too, with recurring roles in 4
series, including the dreadful State of Affairs, and 7 one shot credits.

Mr. Wolfe has 5 one shot credits in movies and TV series, and a two shot
in Covert Affairs.

David Stephen Caruso seems to have retired. (no, seriously) Caine is
his only credit since 2002. I'd say 'retired from acting' but that
would assume facts not in evidence. And the crowd goes wild.

There's a CTV talkshow in the afternoon called "The Social", and she's
been on as a guest host a number of times. They've never explained why
she happened to be in Toronto to fill in.

On the other hand, Lauren Holly has also been a guest host a number of
times on the show, and apparently she's on something that is filmed in
Toronto, either that or she married a Canadian, I can't remember which.

It's not how many credits they have that count, it's how many times we've
actually seen them. Doing live theatre in the Klondike might really be
welcome up there, but it's a pretty minor place to perform.

Brendan Fehr actually seems to have the most work since the show ended
with parts in 3 movies in 2014 and 2 for 2015. Plus an on-going role
on THE NIGHT SHIFT.

I have to wonder how much ageism is playing in the casts lack of
additional roles since the show ended, how much is just the difficulty
of getting any work, how much is their life outside of acting
interferring and how much is just enjoying time off since the regular
cast had a decent income for years. I can see someone like Emily
Proctor taking her time before getting back to work since she has a
young child at home. While Caruso has the advantage of being male he
is getting up there in age (particularly for Hollywood) so that could
impact his ability to get new roles. Plus he probably doesn't want a
supporting role at this point.

Wasn't that because he was such an amateur, they felt it reduced confusion
if the fictional character had his name?

If anything, Seinfeld was playing a fictional version of Larry David even
though, yes, George was the Larry David character. More of the crap Larry
David got involved in in real life ended up in the scripts than crap that
happened to Seinfeld.

I'm not sure anybody was trying to act on that show. Speaking of which,
I watched TWO STUPID WHORE GIRLS last night, first time I ever saw more
than a snippet. Dear God that was awful! Every iota of it. And the
stupid whore girl that isn't Kat Denning is easily the worst actress on

Gillian Anderson
Gillian Anderson would probably be best at the end of this list, were it in
any particular order. Agent Dana Scully wasn't that unbelievable on "The X-
Files," but when it came to showing real emotion, when tension was at its
highest, Gillian simply didn't bring it. Part of this might have been the
squabbles that insiders say existed between her and Duchovny and the lack of
chemistry in later seasons.
Yeah, she never brought anything to the show.
I didn't watch "X-Files", but I never understood her attraction to fans,
from other things I've seen. Thought I was the only one who felt that
way though.

When he put them on he was an idiot, and when he took them off he was
an idiot ... so either the "magic" of them is to make people touching
them look like an idiot, OR he simply is an idiot and they're just
normal sunglasses. ;-)

She was okay, but I agree that she was the weak link for all kinds of
reasons. In retrospect, I would have been perfectly fine--and maybe
happier--if someone else had been in that role.

I didn't watch "X-Files", but I never understood her attraction to
fans, from other things I've seen. Thought I was the only one who
felt that way though.
What I appreciated about Scully was that she was a rare female character
who was the rational skeptic of the story, and not given to screaming,
crying, or breaking down, which so many writers seem to think are the
main reasons for even having female characters beyond their being the
perquisite sexual rewards for male heroes.

Of course, Scully was the rational skeptic in a story where rational
skeptics were always wrong, but just the rationality was a nice change
of pace, particularly in 1993. It did get to be silly when she was
almost always conveniently out of the room when the paranormal phenomena
were taking place, but she would also back her partner to the last full
measure, and that's a refreshing trait in a female character as well.

What I appreciated about Gillian Anderson was that she played the part
appropriately: without prissiness, frivolousness, coyness, or the
girly-girl hair flipping that someone (don't know if it's the writers,
directors, producers, or the actresses themselves) almost always seems
to insist on lest the character be considered unfeminine.

I've seen Anderson in a few other roles, all of them quite different
from Scully. She always struck me as competent. I won't go out of my
way to seek her out just because she once played a character I liked,
though.

Yeah, I didn't mind her performance. I never watched the show regularly;
there were other reasons why I didn't like it.

I've even seen her play characters in which she was more feminine and
she was ok.

However, on Crisis (NBC March-June 2014), as one of the principle
supporting characters and one of the villains, she gave the worst
performance on a show filled with lousy performances. That was the
first time her performance really bothered me.

Kaley Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco, who has played the character Penny on "The Big Bang
Theory" for the last seven seasons, is an actress who could use a few
more acting classes. Those who watch the show might agree that her
character brings sex appeal to the show, but not much else. One might
wonder why the creators of the show don't just replace her with
another pretty face who can indeed act.
One might also wonder who the jackass is who wrote the above, since I

I thought she merely had trouble getting acting jobs.

We saw a number of scenes where she went to an audition, and the waiting
room was full of eager young actresses dying for the part, just like her.
With that kind of competition, you have to be exceptional (or maybe
willing to satisfy someone) to get the job.

Those who watch the show might agree that her character brings sex appeal to
the show, but not much else.
One might wonder why the creators of the show don't just replace her with

Jerry Seinfeld
Jerry Seinfeld is funny, and his self-titled television show was hilarious,
but among the excellent level of acting on that show, Jerry was the only one
who you could tell was acting.
I somehow always thought Martin Sheen looked like he was about to start laughing on the set in pretty much every scene.

I agree with Jared, totally DISAGREE with Kaley Cuoco. I've been watching the show from its inception and its the level of character development over the seasons TRULY ASTOUNDING! She is not great, but a lot better than you give her credit for. Now Jared is DEFINITELY the WORST kid actor I've EVER seen and ruined once upon a time for me after its 3rd season was even over.
He may be better than you give him credit for. I read an article about
the younger parts of the cast once and apparently Nolan Gould is a
member of MENSA. Who, watching Modern Family, would ever imagine that he
was actually a genius in real life? You have to admit he does a decent
job playing a not-very-bright guy. Of course, to prove it was actually
acting, I'd like to see him in a very different role to see if he can
actually do another character.

He's also the one who openly stated on various occasions that he knew he
wasn't an actor, he was a comedian. He never pretended to be an actor.

I agree with Jared, totally DISAGREE with Kaley Cuoco. I've been watching the
show from its inception and its the level of character development over
the seasons
TRULY ASTOUNDING! She is not great, but a lot better than you give her
credit for.
Now Jared is DEFINITELY the WORST kid actor I've EVER seen and ruined
once upon a
time for me after its 3rd season was even over. And to cast Robbie Kay,
who is
absolutely BRILLIANT along side Jared in the same show is just insulting.

Caruso. I'll have to think of others.

Which actor is that?

onto an unrelated one. You should spend the effort to learn how.)

But you moved your goods on roads we all paid for. You hired workers we
