With things starting to wind down a little for the year, I got through
soaps... and a Tubi movie yesterday!
soaps: GH - Tue's and Wed's ep's. A lot of this was NuNuLulu (aka.
"Babe"!) on the warpath - "Babe", I mean Lulu! confronts Nina about
where Charlotte is, not understanding that Nina and Valentin broke up
years ago, and Nina doesn't appreciate the intrusion! Carly then takes
Lulu to see Jack Brennan, and Lulu insists that Brennan call Valentin,
which Brennan does, but there's no answer. Brennan goes back to the WSB
office, where it's revealed he now wants Valentin found as well, as
Valentin is bringing down too much heat now. Finally, Maxie finally
meets up with Lulu and they catch up on the last 4 years... Anna, Jason
and Spinelli maybe get a clue on Valentin's whereabouts by coercing
Martin Gray... Curtis tests Drew, but Drew punts, so Curtis confirms
that Drew intends to betray him; Curtis complains to Jordan, and then
Portia about this, and Curtis reveals that he has convinced Michael to
help him get Drew booted from Aurora Inc... Weird! Dex's new partner is
Gina Vitori! GH keeps hiring Lifetime and Asylum vets! Anyway, after Dex
and his new partner (Vitori) break up a fight between drunk college
students, Dex is stabbed by someone (almost certainly Cyrus), with
Felicia witnessing most of it... Bitch Willow is still giving Sasha the
cold shoulder (after Sasha gave Willow a dose of the cold truth!), and
Maxie asks for an explanation.
Shark Bait (Tubi) - A 2022 Tubi Original flick!
This is one of those annoying flicks that has a bunch of (unknown!)
British actors pretending to be Americans (from Kansas!).
Kansas? How did the shark get in someone's backyard swimming pool? And
why didn't people see the shark before they got into the pool? Or did
the shark ring people's doorbells pretending to be a candygram?

This is a multiday catch up. I watched:
Dune: Prophecy (HBOMax) - "Twice Born" - A lot went down in this
episode. The highlight was once again Travis Fimmel (I swear he's
reprising his role from "Raised by wolves!") who with the emperor's
blessing is now openly going after anyone who uses thinking machines.
The sisterhood of course has many plans within plans, but Fimmel is
there to keep throwing monkey-wrenches in them. I never read the
original novels, but from what I'm hearing this series is pulling in a
lot from the novels including various aliens and technologies which were
never explored before in the movies.
The Equalizer I caught up on two more episodes. I think they were
"Sacrifice" where the team saves an obnoxious hacker. And "Take My
Life...Please!" where the team saves an obnoxious comic. With the comic
in particular, if there's a murderer out to get him, the wife needs to
just go to the police where the comics want her to or not.
Serpico (4K disc) 1973 movie directed by Sidney Lumet and starring Al
Pacino as the only honest cop in New York. It holds up pretty well.
Watching this has put "Dog Day Afternoon" back on my radar. I might get
around to watching it soon.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew (Disney+) "Very Interesting, as an Astrogation
Problem" - Episode 3, in a bit of a step up from episode 2, Jude Law and
the kids escape the pirate base and make their way to one of Jude's old
frenemies for help in locating the kid's home world. I did like the
conversation the kids had as to if Jude's a Jedi or not. And if not how
did he make something float along with the list of multiple ways he
could have pulled that off in the Star Wars universe.
Subservience (Netflix) New 2024 sc-fi movie starring Megan Fox as a
fembot who is purchased by a man with a sick wife in the hospital. The
man expects his new fembot, that looks like Megan Fox, to cook, clean,
and care for the kids. But soon the Megan Fox lookalike has her robotic
heart on replacing the wife (in all wifely duties) and ridding the man
of anything that might be bothering him. If he had just watched the
season finale of "Accused," he would have known better than to buy a
fembot, but some people have to learn the hard way.
