Star Wars: Skeleton Crew [new; special night] (9 pm, Disney+)

A Spielberg-inspired coming-of-age tale set within the Star Wars
universe—specifically, after the events of Return of the Jedi and
concurrent with The Mandalorian, though prior knowledge of the franchise
is not a prerequisite—the long-delayed Skeleton Crew follows four kids
who make a mysterious discovery on their home planet and then must find
their way back home after getting lost in the galaxy. The series comes
from Jon Watts (director of the well-received recent Spider-Man films)
and Christopher Ford (who co-wrote Spider-Man: Homecoming) and features
an all-star roster of directors including Lee Isaac Chung (Twisters),
the Daniels (Everything Everywhere All at Once), David Lowery (The Green

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew        [new; special night]        (9 pm, Disney+)
A Spielberg-inspired coming-of-age tale set within the Star Wars
universe—specifically, after the events of Return of the Jedi and
concurrent with The Mandalorian, though prior knowledge of the franchise
is not a prerequisite—the long-delayed Skeleton Crew follows four kids
who make a mysterious discovery on their home planet and then must find
their way back home after getting lost in the galaxy. The series comes
from Jon Watts (director of the well-received recent Spider-Man films)
and Christopher Ford (who co-wrote Spider-Man: Homecoming) and features
an all-star roster of directors including Lee Isaac Chung (Twisters),
the Daniels (Everything Everywhere All at Once), David Lowery (The Green
Knight), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Mandalorian), and Jake Schreier (the
upcoming Thunderbolts*). The adult cast is led by Jude Law and also
includes Nick Frost, Tunde Adebimpe, and Kerry Condon. Eight episodes;
two stream today, followed by one episode weekly through Jan. 14.
