‘Star Trek: Voyager’ Actress Jennifer Lien Arrested for Indecent
Exposure

“Star Trek: Voyager” actress Jennifer Lien was arrested and has been
in custody for two weeks after allegedly exposing herself in front of
several children, Roane County police confirm.
Lien has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure
in an incident that happened on Aug. 31 in Harriman, Tenn.
A neighbor of Lien’s made a complaint to police after Lien began a
tirade due to a crying child, and during her tirade, exposed her
breasts and buttocks. The neighbor stated that she had three children
in the yard while this was happening.
According to a Roane County Sheriff’s Office report, when police
appeared on Sept. 3 with a warrant, Lien was not wearing clothes and
resisted arrest.
“The offender stated she wasn’t going any f–king where and we needed
to leave her alone,” reads the police report by responding officer
Billy Walker.
Lien also threatened to have the officers shot and killed, says the
police report. She was transported to the patrol car and taken to the
Roane County Jail, and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 7.
The actress appeared on “Star Trek: Voyager” from 1995 to 2000 as Kes.
Her other credits include “American History X,” “Accidents Don’t
Happen,” “Men in Black: The Series,” “Battle Force: Andromeda” and
voice work in “Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride.”
This isn’t Lien’s first run-in with the law. In April, she was
arrested and charged with evading arrest, resisting arrest, reckless
endangerment and aggravated assault.

Wow. I had never heard a thing about her in her private life but this is
rather unexpected. I don't remember any other Star Trek actor ever
behaving so oddly. Sounds like she has some ongoing issues of some kind....

Oh no that's not it at all. She did have "problems" with her weight
ever since the last times she was seen on "Star Trek: Voyager" when
her charcter turned evil but her weight has no bearing on her looking

That bald head of his gives him the perfect look for a character actor,
because it's not immediately apparent to the audience how old he is.

That's not what I'm talking about. I initially read the statement as "he
could play a middle-aged man (who was) in his late 20s," rather than, as
you intended, "when he was in his later 20's, he could play a

I saw a young Lou Gossett Jr on something the other day, and he was
balding. But in a Sherman Hemsley kind of way, the top going but the
sides still there. You never know whether someone is shaving their head
or is completely bald, but I suspect he went with the shaved look after
that.

I know someone who was balding in his twenties, we were never sure if it
was hereditary or stress related. For a while, he'd shave it when he was
most public, then if you saw him during the rest of the year, he'd have
some hair. But now it's just shaved. His father has hair, his has hair,

about her she looks great. Overweight but still quite pretty:

according to the copyright was taken in 2012 when she was still about
37-38 years old and she looks younger than that! I would've said late

This is really different than the first article I read, that said they
were just there to deliver a summons, and she was naked under a blanket
on the couch. Why they wouldn't just *leave* the summons and go away
was the question ...

It's long been said that she was a cocaine addict on the show and her
attempts to kick the habit resulted in the weight gain (see the later
Voyager episode 'Fat Evil Kes Returns').

But you can look up plenty of actors and they didn't continue.

If it's a handful of episodes, especially in Hawaii, chances are good they
did it because it was there, something fun to do.

Others are going for the career, but don't go that far. Either they stop
getting jobs, or decide to move into something else.

So every time you ask "Whatever happened to SoandSo", chances are good
they may have gone into something else.

There are lots of actors who were reasonably prolific, for a few years,
and then nothing.

ANd it's not just child actors who are unable to continue as adults. I've
come across lots of entries where they've gone on to do something else.

SOmeone died recently, wait it was Yvonne Craig, and didn't the obituary
say she went into real estate? Something like that. I'm not sure what
caused that decision. SOmetimes it is children, and they never get back
to acting when the child is old enough.

congressional counsel during Watergate. He then started dabbling in acting,
then used that notoriety to run for the Senate in Tennessee.

It was only that I couldn't think of more examples, not that they weren't
out there.

The exception is if they grind down in a drunken or drugged stupor and

Of course, some don't have spectacular jobs afterwards, which does seem
like it might be a letdown to the actual actors.

There's a story now that Amanda Petersen (from "A Year in the Life" and
"Can't Buy Me Love") was raped as a teenager, her mother implying that
that was the cause of her drug use that eventually caused her death.

She was served with a legal document. They brought the document to her,
at her own home. There was no question that it was her. I don't know of
a requirement on her to "accept" the document, but if she was summoned to
court, she'd have to comply with it.

If it was an arrest warrant, I'm still seriously questioning why the
hell there'd be an arrest warrant for a misdomeanor charge. Wouldn't
that be handled with a summons?
