Post by UbiquitousWhat did you watch?
On my second-to-last day of the school year, I went into work, ran
errands, and then came home. I then watched soaps, football, and a new
LMN flick:
soaps: Both Thur's ep's.
DOOL - Ha! Leo jinks the heck out of Holly-Tate by warning Holly
that in soaps (and IRL?) it's just when the star-crossed lovers are
finally together that fate screws with them - and, indeed, Sophia shows
up at the end to tell Tate she's preggers!! (Is she lying, tho?!...)
Javi gets Gabi to admit that she's interested in JJ, and then Javi sets
Gabi up on a date with him! Julie tries to warn JJ off Gabi, but gets
nowhere. Lucas from "Girl Meets World" (gah! that show was a decade ago
now?!!) - aka. "New Doug" - goes to Leo to try to pawn off the stolen
necklace!
GH - Curtis unveils to Drew the plan to take control of Aurora from
Drew. (Shouldn't Curtis have waited until the success of the plan was
confirmed?!) Drew is livid, but totally had it coming. Martin Gray
follows Nina's instructions, and serves Michael with the separation
papers. (I wonder if the storyline is going to be that Michael steals
the kids from Willow and leaves town with them?...) Willow isn't
thrilled at Nina's unilateral actions on this, but Nina (rightly) warns
Willow that now both the Quartermaines and the Corinthoes will be
Willow's enemies. Josslyn runs across Cameron, and tells him that Dex is
dead (Cameron is amazingly gracious about that, as he should be glad
that Dex is dead!), before Cameron is dragged away by his new
girlfriend, Gretchen (Indi Star, aka. Indigo Carey); at the end, Joss
sees a vision of Dex, but then he's gone.
My Husband's Other Face (LMN) - I expected this new LMN flick to be
over-the-top, but it went way beyond that to completely preposterous!!
Semi-Lifetime/X-Mas movie staple Brooke Burfitt stars as woman
unhappily married to a failing(? well, he thinks he's failing!) writer
(Braxton Angle), who previously cheated on her. When she discovers she
is pregnant, she gets talked by her shifty bestie (Courtney Elvira) into
visiting a woo-woo New Age herbalist "healer"-type to get, effectively,
a "love potion" for the husband.
The magical potion seems to work in getting her husband "back in
love" with her.
But, wait! What is really going on here?! And why do people keep
disappearing, etc.?!
I am giving nothing away, really, in saying if you don't trust her
bestie, or the husband, you are on the right track.
But the ending resolution was so completely preposterous that they
totally lost me. And they don't even reveal the bestie's fate at the end!!
Bah!
